SLC Event Permitting finds new home Friday, October 16, 2009 SLC Special Events to handle permitting for Special Events, Free Expression and Filming activities in SLC SALT LAKE CITY – This summer Salt Lake City's Special Events office took over the application and permitting process for events and filming in Salt Lake City. Formerly coordinated through the Parks Department, the move to Special Events (part of the Gallivan Center & Events Division) brings the application process back downtown. Event planners, free speech activity organizers and film production companies now have access to applications online at www.SLCityEvents.com as well as in person at the Gallivan Center offices located at 239 S Main St. Salt Lake City Corp. has expressed a desire to consolidate the application and permitting process for event organizers and are working towards more of a "one-stop shopping" experience in obtaining the necessary permits for holding events in Utah's capitol city. - [More»]
