     The Salt Lake City Council at its December 13, 2011 Regular Council Meeting adopted Resolution 65 of 2011 authorizing the approval of an interlocal cooperation agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and the Unified Fire Authority for the provision of hazardous material response and explosive device operations.  Unified Fire Authority will compensate the City 21% of the total annual compensation they receive from the County. For calendar year 2011 total compensation will be $357,000.      The Salt Lake City Council at its November 16, 2010 Regular Council Meeting adopted Resolution 50 of 2010 authorizing the approval of an interlocal cooperation agreement between Salt Lake County and Salt Lake City Corporation regarding North Temple Boulevard improvements. This agreement shall take effect immediately upon the completion of all of the following: (a) the approval of the agreement by the governing bodies of the County and the City, including the adoption of any necessary resolutions or ordinances by the County and the City authorizing the execution of this Agreement by the appropriate person or persons for the County and the City, respectively, (b) the execution of this agreement by a duly authorized official of each of the Parties, (c) the submission of this agreement to an attorney for each Party that is authorized to represent said Party for review as to proper form and compliance with applicable law and the approval of each respective attorney, (d) the filing of a copy of this agreement with the keeper of records of each Party and (e) the execution and delivery of the written opinion from the Utah Attorney General .  The Agreement shall terminate on the earlier of (i) the completion of the improvements to North Temple or (ii) within three years of the issuance of the bonds by the County.  If within three years of the issuance of the bonds by the County, the City has not completed the improvements to North Temple as contemplated by the Parties under this agreement; all unexpended bond proceeds transferred to the City under this agreement will be returned to the County.  The County shall transfer $3.5 million of the bond proceeds to Salt Lake City to be used by Salt Lake City for public improvements to North Temple.

NOTICE OF STREET CONSTRUCTION AND RESURFACING PROJECTS

In accordance with Salt Lake City Ordinance Number 14.32.080, notice is hereby given of upcoming street construction, reconstruction, and resurfacing projects anticipated to be performed by Salt Lake City during the three-year period beginning January 1, 2011.  Projects listed below represent anticipated locations and construction time frames based on current planning and budget projections.  Actual project locations and schedules may vary. 

The purpose of this notice is to provide information concerning work activities in the public way and promote coordination of such activities between all public way users including utility companies, telecommunications providers, developers, contactors, and the general public.  This improved coordination is intended to reduce disruption to vehicular and pedestrian traffic on City streets and sidewalks, and to minimize damage to street pavements and public way facilities.  As part of this coordination activity, the City Engineer may require users to delay or accelerate the schedule of requested excavation activities.  In addition, limited moratoriums of 7 years on the excavation of newly constructed streets, and 3 years on repaved streets will be enforced.

In accordance with Ordinance Number 14.32.080, each user and prospective user of Salt Lake City’s public way, on or before November 1, 2010, shall provide to the City Engineer a start date and completion date of all anticipated major work to be conducted within the public way during the three-year period beginning January 1, 2011.  All such schedules shall be sent to:

The Salt Lake City Council at its November 5, 2009 Regular Council Meeting adopted Resolution 59 of 2009 authorizing the approval of interlocal cooperation agreement with the Redevelopment Agency, Salt Lake County and the Board of Education, Salt Lake City School District relating to North Temple Viaduct reconstruction pursuant to Contract No. 01-3-10-4383.  In order to facilitate development of the project, the County, the City and the School District desires to pay to the Redevelopment Agency its share of Tax Increment generated by the Project Area.  The term of this agreement shall commence on the publication of the notice and shall continue through the date on which all County Share, City Share and District Share has been paid to and disbursed by the Redevelopment Agency or the Agency ceases to receive such Tax Increment.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Salt Lake City Council at its December 8, 2009 Regular Council Meeting adopted Resolution 59 of 2009 authorizing the approval of an interlocal cooperation agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City who agrees to pay Salt Lake City all tax increment received from Salt Lake City all tax increment received from Salt Lake County with respect to North Temple Viaduct Project area.  The City has agreed to issue sales tax revenue bonds to pay for project costs and to make the debt service payments on the Viaduct Bonds.  Time shall be of the essence of the agreement.
