(a) The total estimated cost over a three year period for economic promotion activities to be financed within the CBIA-10 Assessment Area is $2,850,922, all of which shall be levied against benefitted property within the CBIA-10 Assessment Area.  The City will not pay any of these estimated costs.

(b) Benefitted properties shall be assessed based upon taxable value at the following proposed assessment rate:  .001411402.
As required by law, three persons have been duly appointed to act as the Board of Equalization and Review on the assessments proposed to be levied on the property benefited within the CBIA-10 Assessment Area.  The Board of Equalization and Review for assessments proposed to be levied on the affected property within the CBIA-10 Assessment Area will meet in the first floor conference room at 349 South 200 East, Salt Lake City, Utah, on February 16, 2010, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.; on February 17, 2010, between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.; and on February 18, 2010, between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to hear and consider any objections to and make any corrections of any proposed assessments that the Board may deem unequal, inequitable, or unjust.

On each of the dates specified above, the assessment list and plats and amounts of the proposed assessment against each parcel of property shall be open to public inspection continuously from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Office of the City Engineer of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Appeal from a decision of the Board of Equalization and Review may be taken to the City Council of the City by filing a written notice of appeal in the office of the City Recorder within fifteen (15) days from the date the Board’s final report to the City Council is mailed to the affected property owners.

     BRIEFING/WORK SESSIONS* are scheduled at 3:00 p.m. in the Salt Lake City Council Committee Room, City County Building, 451 South State Street, Room 326, Salt Lake City, Utah, prior to each regular Council Meeting. Work Sessions are sometimes continued following the Regular Council Meetings.

     REGULAR COUNCIL MEETINGS* are scheduled for the first, second, and third Tuesdays of each month, except for June, July, August and December when the meetings will be held the first and second Tuesday of each month, at 7:00 p.m. in the Salt Lake City Council Chambers, City County Building, 451 South State Street, Room 315, Salt Lake City, Utah.

All meetings of the City Council are open to the public unless closed pursuant to Sections 52-4-4, 52-4-5, and 78-24-8 Utah Code Annotated, 1953.  A written agenda of each open meeting will be posted at the Salt Lake City Council Chambers, City County Building, 451 South State Street, Room 315, Salt Lake City, Utah, 24 hours in advance of such meeting or can be found at www.slcgov.com/council/agendas.

The Salt Lake City Council at its December 8, 2009 Regular Council Meeting adopted Resolution 59 of 2009 authorizing the approval of an interlocal cooperation agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City who agrees to pay Salt Lake City all tax increment received from Salt Lake City all tax increment received from Salt Lake County with respect to North Temple Viaduct Project area.  The City has agreed to issue sales tax revenue bonds to pay for project costs and to make the debt service payments on the Viaduct Bonds.  Time shall be of the essence of the agreement.
